Our problem now is not so much lack of admin volunteers. We can throw all kinds of manpower at our setup as it exists now and it will not fix the problem. What we need now is to swiftly make fundamental changes to our architecture.
After we make those changes, it's my guess that volunteer admins will be more than sufficient to maintain our services. If that's not the case, the board will act. As my dad says, "we'll drive off that bridge when we come to it."
But first things first: we need to make architectural changes and hardware upgrades, and quickly.
