Both of these were posted at Common Dreams, a site I visit daily, along with
Counterpunch, WSWS, and sometimes a couple of others). First of all there's
Chris Hedges, who posted this article yesterday:

He's a prominent anti-war voice. This article is a particularly good
distillation of the crippling blame-yourself moralism that is so prominent
in the movement. He can't conceive of a class enemy that is the source of
the violence and war. It's also a good description of how violence-crazed
reactionaries are created by war. The existence of these individuals, in
addition the spying by the state itself, is good reason to exercise security
precautions when involved in movement-type activities (but not to the point
that it paralyzes you):
While I'm at it, check out
http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/ideas/articles/2009/09/13/why_capitalism_fails/?page=full
which is about Hyman Minsky, an a capitalist economist. When is the last
time you saw the headline "Why capitalism fails" in the NYT or its
surrogate, the Boston Globe.
See you tomorrow night.
