[HCoop-Misc] using mod_python

I would like to use mod_python for some web applications. I can see
mod_python is installed on mire, but I have no idea how I use domtool
to use it (it does not really seem to be supported). 

It seems there are two steps, load it on apache and handle python-code
with either the apache SetHandler or AddHandle directive
(http://webpython.codepoint.net/mod_python_publisher_apache_configuration).

Any ideas or pointers to documentation or examples are most welcome.
