Ok, so $7000, let's say 4 servers @ $50 / U / Mo. for 5 years:

$7000 + (50 * 4 * 60) = $19,000
19,000 / 60 = ~316/mo

and this is with:
no support
we eat the cost for hardware replacements and transportation costs
our funds become rather illiquid again

I'll shop around some dedicated hosting providers and see how this compares
