[Hcoop-discuss] Colocation Plans and pricing structure

I think including maintenance in the monthly fees makes lots of sense. But can you explain more what you mean by funds for "upgrades?" Do you mean adding capacity now that we hope to be able to sell to new members later? Or is there some current need of existing members that's going unmet?

Subject: [Hcoop-discuss] Colocation Plans and pricing structure

Hi All,

I just wanted to let everyone know that all of the information that we
have gathered from potential hosting providers is available on the
wiki. At this stage I guess that we're ready to evaluate this
information and make a decision about the best provider for our needs
and financial constraints.

Speaking of our financial constraints, I was also wondering how members
felt about moving towards a flat-rate pricing structure that included
funds for maintenance and upgrades. I know that there was some interest
in this in the past, and I have heard some members saying that would be
a more maintainable and simpler system than what we are doing
currently. I'm also interested in seeing Hcoop, Inc. keep funds set
aside for expansion and emergency repairs, etc. as a safety net.

So, I would appreciate any feedback, both about the colocation plans
that we've been offered, as well as thoughts about how or when we could
change the pricing structure of Hcoop to something that could be more
maintainable and allow us to scale our systems with an increasing number
of members.

Thanks!

Justin
