I realize that loss of membership is a very serious problem.  My opinion 
is that we should ask for donations for those who can contribute more in 
order to stabilize dues for those who can't swing it for a short period 
of time while ramping up on the new infrastructure.  So, we would have a 
"dues stabilization fund" that would hopefully be around until we had 
enough members to bring rates back to a reasonable rate for everyone.

Do you think that this would be a problem, given the amount that we 
would need to stabilize dues for some of those who would otherwise leave?
