I used to have lighttpd running on my work machine, but it was
incapable of serving files for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation
over the network -- I would continually be getting timeouts and 404s.
Switching back to apache2 made the problems go away.

I would definitely oppose making lighttpd the default http server for
hcoop.
