Comrades,
Here is a draft meeting report. Please let me know if there are any
objections/suggestions/etc. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow
morning, I'll post it on the Indymedia thread, the blog, etc.

--------------
The Seattle O17 Anti-War Mobilization working group met on Thursday,
September 16. Here is a brief summary of the meeting.
PERMIT: The march permit has been filed with the Parks Department and we
are waiting to hear back from the Seattle Police Department. We do not
anticipate any issues. Also, a permit has been obtained for the use of
Westlake Park.
LEGAL: An activist with the working group has volunteered to contact the
National Lawyers Guild for legal observers.
SOUND: We still need a sound system, preferably one that's small,
portable and battery-operated. Ideally this would be something between
a megaphone and a standard sound system. If you or someone you know can
help out with this, please email october17antiwar [at] gmail [dot] com.
POSTER: Organizations and individuals are free to build for the
demonstration with their own posters and literature. However, the
working group will collectively release a poster for the demonstration.
The poster will also advertise an ANSWER-led action on October 7 (and
any other anti-war mass actions scheduled for around this time period,
as they are announced). The poster will list initiating and endorsing
organizations. If your organization would like to endorse the October
17 demonstration, please email october17antiwar [at] gmail [dot] com.
OUTREACH: Activists will carpool to Tacoma on Saturday, September 26 and
Thursday, October 1 to put up posters and distribute flyers advertising
the demonstration. This, of course, is in addition to the ongoing mass
work in the Seattle area. For carpool information, or to otherwise get
involved, please email october17antiwar [at] gmail [dot] com.
The working group has been building for the demonstration with the
following half-sheet flyer:

Activists with the working group are contacting various media outlets in
order to spread the word about the demonstration.
INTERNET: In addition to the blog
(http://october17antiwarseattle.blogspot.com) and organizing listserv,
there is now a new email list for announcements. To subscribe, visit
