“11 a.m., meet at Westlake Park, 4th & Pine in downtown Seattle; Join Veterans For Peace in its monthly walk-about against war. END THE U.S. OCCUPATIONS OF IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN! Prosecute War Criminals, Not War Resisters! Walk to Pike Place Market. Demonstrate and pass out flyers until 1 pm.”
“noon - 2 pm, at Westlake Plaza, 4th & Pine, downtown Seattle; PROTEST THE ISRAELI & EGYPTIAN SIEGE ON GAZA”
These are good events to show solidarity with anyway, plus I think it creates a good political atmosphere to have lots of people with signs and leafleting at Westlake on Saturdays. (At any rate, I always seem to do better when there are more people than when I’m by myself.) Anton and me will be there, but join us! The more, the better.
Also, for those who can‘t make Westlake, or for those who want to go by afterwards:
“at Garfield Community Center and Playfield, 2323 East Cherry Street, Seattle; The CENTRAL AREA COMMUNITY FESTIVAL will be hosting its 13th annual festival.”
As Nina says:
Have fun organizing!--Fk.
