Hello HCOOPers,
This has nothing to do with HCOOP (hence sent to -misc), but I thought
I'd send it out in case there are any foodies or olive oil fans out there.

Last year when I was a member of a food co-op in Philly I bought a
bottle of "Holy Land Olive Oil," which is a very flavorful, fragrant,
and organic (though not yet certified) oil grown in the Palestinian
territories (http://www.palestineoliveoil.org/). It's a very small
brand started by a Palestinian immigrant to help poor farmers such as
those in Qalqiya (which is now completed fenced in) whose ability to
market their product has been virtually eliminated under the occupation,
and is the only Palestinian olive oil marketed in the USA as far as I
know. It's the best olive oil for dipping, sauces, salads, and other
flavorful purposes that I think I've ever tasted, and once I used up my
bottle I'd been searching for it in NYC to no avail. Anyway it turns
out they were sold out but they have just gotten a new shipment in now
that is available by mail order but not in stores yet. Unfortunately
it's $48 if I want 3 500mL bottles, but I can get 12 for $11.67 each.

If any of you want to go in on a case with me, even just one bottle,
send me an email--I will ship them to you at cost ($11.67 each,
half-liter bottles) plus shipping/packing. I want at least 2 for
myself, and I will get a case if others will buy at least 5 total. If I
don't have any response within a week I'll just suck it and buy a 3-pack.

-ntk
