We've gone ahead and blocked the IPs that were hitting conkeror.org
hardest. It appears again to have abated, but I am sitting here watching
the status page yet again just in case (it just *had* to flare up when I
stepped out for an hour).

It looks like a firefox browser extension is fetching all of the links
on the main page in parallell :-X
