For my part I'd rather see HCoop fall into disrepair and a state of
high-entropy decay than prematurely dissolve while folks still have use for
it and will tolerate the kinks. Of course it would be better to continue
keeping things more-or-less running well most of the time using our gaggle
of overworked and underappreciated volunteers.

We've relied on donations and volunteers entirely too much throughout our
entire history to do things "right" from a professional standpoint. In
retrospect I think we incorporated entirely too early and could have got on
as an association just fine, but having gotten over that early on does have
its benefits. If we want to have a professional level of service then at
some point we're going to need a professional staff. Adam's worn out and I
was worn out long ago, but unlike him I'm not the brains behind most of our
scripts and portal, I just safeguard a bunch of papers that I'll be happy
to pass off when the time comes. I'm happy to hear of anyone who is
willing to step up and volunteer for the co-op and I'd be even happier to
find anyone who is willing to do thankless unpaid work serving on the
board, but I'm not going to have the resources to be personally heavily
involved with the mechanics of migrating our entire hosting environment.
