Even better, you can take advantage of the fact that 'domain' makes by 
default a vhost that answers to both www.DOMAIN and DOMAIN.  Use the WWW 
environment variable (shown in one of the examples) to add a rewrite 
rule to this default vhost.  It's sort of non-aesthetically-pleasing 
that you add this rule to a vhost that answers to www.DOMAIN, even 
though you know that hostname points to a different server, but it 
should work.
