[ my first post of this question got caught in the thread "low-bandwidth streaming
radio station?" cause I posted the wrong way. My error]

What mail_smarthost activates MoinMoin's e-mail notifications?
(mail_from seems easy to add.) Is mail_login needed also? Is it a change in
the domains/.../.dns line:

    Mail	mail	mail

Or is there a preferred alternative that uses less resources?
Any suggestions/working examples appreciated.
