[Hcoop-discuss] Problems IRC'ing from fyodor

At some point recently, everyone has stopped being able to connect to 
IRC servers (port 6667) from fyodor, as far as I know.  We asked 
InterServer if they were blocking IRC, but they don't think they are.  
Nonetheless, we turned our firewall off and ran some experiments that 
make it look like they are.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong on our side?  [For 
users who haven't explicitly requested firewall rules letting them 
connect to particular IRC servers, don't forget that blocking your IRC 
connection attempts is _correct_ behavior.]

To further investigate the problem, the InterServer folks want a 
temporary login on fyodor.  If no one turns up a helpful answer to the 
above question quickly, then does anyone have any objection to creating 
that temporary account for them?
