what theoretical tweaks were you considering?

Bringing the hops down a bit, mostly--something like 32 instead of 40 IBU. Moving the Saaz to 20 minutes and cutting half an ounce off of it is one approach. On the other hand, the high hoppiness will mean a better balanced beer 6-8 months down the road. It's a question of what your drinking window is, I guess.

I keep meaning to try to convert it to as close to all-grain as possible, too. The 1.5lbs DME is there just to up the body a bit depending on our wort's SG; 1.070 is the general target.

also Clinton says Sebastian has dibs. i am fine with that, but i havent heard (on here) from him regarding whether or not he wants to claim those dibs

No sweat; I was just commenting on it since it was topical :) Yeah, Sebastian claimed a spot for this weekend a couple of weeks ago when we were bottling, IIRC.

Sebastian, I would like for you to confirm the ingredients for me sometime before the weekend, and I'll pick it up for you en route to Evergreen. Alternately, I can head down there the morning of and we can make an educational field trip!
I don't think the world has enough saison, personally. And we need to be sure to give it time to age. So +1 from me :)

I am not under the gun this weekend as I was last weekend; I can join you without any reservation.

Rach, I uploaded the HTML version to the wiki for your ease of use. I am inclined to tweak it now that we've brewed it a few times, but it's your call, brewmaster!

If this would be too much saison-esque beer thats cool, but i wont be able to brew again until april 21st.
This previous weekend both Bt and Luke levelled up in brewing a bit
(hey, being under beersaged might have /some/ advantages) and now
... two fermenters are empty folks! We gotta get 'em filled.

I'll yield to our new brewers since I have about 5 cases of homebrew
available in a couple of weeks but ... for any gaps I'm ready to brew
(in this order):

1. Nowruz #4 (this time with a bit of rye thrown in for kicks)
2. Cernunnos #4 (this time using Witbier yeast for kicks)
3. JWheatz (slightly rebalanced; ferments fast and goes down easy)

Hazily, I have the following vague notions of a recipe and intent to
brew depending on what the future supply holds:

* Thoth
* Haus Rules (using the ARTISINAL American HEIRLOOM 6-row barley
from Asheville and lots and lots of flaked maize and
a dose of hops and 8.8% abv bebbe)
* Sorghum Belgian Tripel

So then, who is brewing this weekend? I nominate (curse?) Sebastian.
