From almiqui at hcoop.net Tue Mar 5 17:14:41 2024 From: almiqui at hcoop.net (almiqui) Date: Tue, 05 Mar 2024 17:14:41 -0500 Subject: [HCoop-Help] CNAME records with underscores Message-ID: <5507c2aa3bdd2304dd6639d7ec196bbf@hcoop.net> As part of my ongoing struggle to set up working e-mail addresses at my HCoop domains, I need to add a CNAME record with an underscore in the "domain name" field. This is allowed by the DNS standard, but the type signature of the Domtool dnsCNAME directive prevents it, putting Domtool out of compliance with the standard. https://serverfault.com/a/928204 I've reported this bug, which looks relatively easy to fix, but I'm not optimistic about it being addressed anytime soon. https://bugzilla.hcoop.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1378 Is there any workaround I can use? Maybe some way to produce a dnsRecord value by hand? Best, Aaron
