During the day Phil and I passed out about 250 leaflets. Anton took over for “second shift” around 5:00, and he was already doing very well when I left. Numerous favorable comments; and I think that four people told me that they were for sure going to be at the demonstration . Too many discussions with people to recount. Even had discussions with a couple of pro-war people whose general line was that “if we don’t fight them over there we’ll have to fight them over here.”

Palestine Solidarity Network set up at the same place as we, and they had mobilized more than their usual number. So this gave us a chance to again encourage them to get behind October 17, plus give leaflets to those who’d not previously gotten it---all of whom were happy to get it. J. S. carried around one of our signs for awhile.
