[Oct. 17 Seattle] Report, one mass-work thread

I distributed some leaflets on the UW campus today, then I went to the
Democracy Insurgent meeting this evening and passed out quite a few
more, for a total of 34. Doug Nielsen was there, and I found out that
he has worked for the UW as a custodian for 16 years, and he may have
been among those recently laid off. He appeared rather cool and a bit
depressed or distant to me, but I greeted him in a friendly way and he
seemed to know about October 17. I made sure that people who wanted to
spread the small leaflet around had quite a few, and many people were
interested in the demonstration. DI has a number of interesting
activities planned, so I think it is useful to be informed of what they
